Administration
– For SC, IM, or IV administration in the upper arms, thighs, or buttocks.
– Administer fast-acting and long-acting oral carbohydrates to patient as soon as possible after response to treatment.
– Rapid injection may be associated with increased nausea and vomiting; place patient in lateral recumbent position to protect airway and to prevent choking when consciousness returns.
