Molnupiravir (Lagevrio)<\/b><\/div>\n

– 800 mg (four 200-mg capsules) by mouth every 12 hours x 5 days<\/div>\n
– Treatment should be initiated within 5 days of symptom onset<\/div>\n<\/div>\n
\n

Patient Selection<\/b><\/div>\n
Use limited to individuals who meet the following criteria:<\/div>\n
\u2013 Age \u2265 18 years<\/div>\n
\u2013 Have a positive result of direct SARS-CoV-2 viral testing<\/div>\n
\u2013 Within 5 days of symptom onset at time of treatment<\/div>\n
\u2013 At high risk for progression to severe COVID-19, including hospitalization<\/div>\n
and death<\/div>\n
\u2013 Not hospitalized due to COVID-19<\/div>\n
<\/div>\n
Missed Dose (<10 hours)<\/b><\/div>\n
– Take missed dose as soon as possible, and resume normal dosing schedule<\/div>\n
<\/div>\n
Missed Dose >10 hours<\/b><\/div>\n
– Skip dose, and take the next dose at the regularly scheduled time<\/div>\n
– Do not double dose to make up for missed dose<\/div>\n
<\/div>\n
Contraception<\/b><\/div>\n
– Females of childbearing potential: Use a reliable method of contraception correctly and consistently, as applicable during treatment and for 4 days after final dose<\/div>\n
– Males with partners of childbearing potential: Use a reliable method of contraception correctly and consistently during treatment and for at least 3 months after final dose; risk beyond 3 months after last dose is unknown; studies on the risks >3 months are ongoing<\/div>\n

Limitations of Use<\/b><\/div>\n
– Not authorized for use in patients aged <18 years<\/div>\n
– Not authorized for initiation of treatment in patients requiring hospitalization due to COVID-19<\/div>\n
– Not authorized for use for >5 consecutive days<\/div>\n
