Nirmatrelvir-Ritonavir (Paxlovid)<\/strong><\/div>\n

– 300 mg nirmatrelvir + 100 mg Ritonavir by mouth twice daily x 5 days<\/div>\n
– Initiate as soon as possible after COVID-19 diagnosis and within 5 days of symptom onset<\/div>\n

– Completing the full 5-day treatment course and isolate in accordance with public health recommendations are important to maximize viral clearance and minimize viral transmission<\/div>\n
<\/div>\n
– If patient is hospitalized due to severe or critical COVID-19 after starting treatment with nirmatrelvir\/ritonavir, completion of the full 5-day treatment is at the healthcare provider\u2019s discretion<\/div>\n

Missed Dose \u22648 hours<\/strong><\/div>\n
– Take missed dose as soon as possible, and resume normal dosing schedule<\/div>\n

– Skip dose, and take the next dose at the regularly scheduled time<\/div>\n
– Do not double dose to make up for missed dose<\/div>\n

– Use of ritonavir may reduce efficacy of combined hormonal contraceptives<\/div>\n
– Advise patients using combined hormonal contraceptives to use an effective alternative contraceptive method or an additional barrier method of contraception<\/div>\n

– Not authorized for initiation of treatment in patients requiring hospitalization owing to severe or critical COVID-19<\/div>\n
